This morning we were all really surprised to wake up and find a little puppy running around the Christmas tree! Joe’s brother Sam has been wanting one for a very long time and it was the top thing on his list this year so Santa took some time and picked out the right puppy and went through all the paper work to get puppy permits for his sleigh and delivered him sometime before we all woke up!
The little puppy waiting for everybody to wake up Christmas morning!
Sam and their dad petting the puppy, who totally zonked out on the floor during most of the gift opening!
Checking out what Santa brought Joe’s mom
And opening other gifts. We were all very spoiled!
After all the gifts were open we all had a quick breakfast and then got ready to go to our second Christmas party. The T. family Christmas Day Brunch! No names again, sorry! 🙂
Sam getting ready to go to the party! Puppy (don’t know his name yet) did not come with us, he stayed home to nap and play a bit with Joe’s dad.
Cousins beginning to play with each other as the party gets started! This sweet girl is one of the older, but younger cousins if that makes any sense. Some of the cousins are our age (with kids of their own even) and others are still younger and in grade school. There are like two groups of us almost.
Joe’s Uncle, an older cousin in the background and some younger cousins playing.
Joe, an Uncle and an older cousin chatting at the table after breakfast. We had eggs, sausage, bacon, cheesy hash browns, juice/coffee/milk and cookies for breakfast! Also very tasty!
Our youngest party goer this year. This girl is only 8 months old and is already walking up a storm. That’s her dad, Joe’s cousin, behind her with hands ready to catch!
One of the younger cousins sneaking cookies from under the table! I reached down to take a photo and he totally hammed it up for my camera. No shame in stealing cookies on Christmas Day!
Cousins, Aunts and Uncles all watching the video game on T.V. I have no idea what the kids were playing!
Time for some present opening!
Joe helping one of the kids get those pesky plastic zip ties off his gift.
More gift opening! More toy chaos and wrapping paper and talking all over the place 🙂 The best thing to hear on Christmas morning!
After this party we headed back to Joe’s parents’ house and had a relaxing, calm afternoon playing with the dog, talking to my parents, reading and just generally chatting and having a nice time. Joe’s mom cooked up a storm and made us a very good supper and we spent the evening hanging out all together again.
Supper included beef, cheesy mashed potatoes, artichoke dip and bread, Yorkshire pudding, asparagus, jalapeno poppers and wine. Everything was made by Joe’s mom and tasted great!
Spending some family time with the new member! Still no name but hopefully he will have one soon! 🙂
