Turnip Greens Soup

I was buying collard greens yesterday and I saw some turnip greens.  I have never eaten turnip greens as far as I know, so I bought some of those too.  I figured Joe would find something to do with them because he is always good with weird vegetables except this time I decided to look it up and I found a recipe for turnip greens soup that didn’t turn out too bad!  It is full of carrot, turnip greens, beans, onion and tomato and a little bit of chorizo for meat (just my luck the recipe called for chorizo and we randomly had some leftover in the fridge – I was excited!)… lots of veggies! Plus I used some homemade chicken broth that I had in the freezer and we had it with some little tomato, olive crostini’s that didn’t turn out bad either!

I felt pretty good about all the vegetables and good things today.
